Mahtab Akbar Rashdi

Mahtab Akbar Rashdi completed her Master of Arts in Political Science from University of Sindh, Jamshoro and studied the same from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, U.S.A as well. She has also completed B.Ed from University of Sindh, Jamshoro Pakistan.

Her education supported her to serve Government of Sindh for about two decades. During her service, she has been Secretary to Government of Sindh in Inter Provincial Coordination Department, Culture, Tourism, Sports, Youth Affairs and Social Welfare Department, Information & Archives Department and Education Department.

Not only that, she has trusteeship and the membership on Boards of RAHNUMA, Family Planning Association of Pakistan (FPAP), National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), HUM Network PVT LTD, Oral Cancer Foundation and Parveen Shakir Trust as well.

Throughout her career, she has achieved many milestones and has also been given Special Award for Services in education for the Nation” by Sindh Madarsa-tul-Islam Karachi 2007, “Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra” Award by the Pakistan Federation of Business & Professional Women’s Association 2006, “Women Achievers” Award by Indus Plus 2005, “Doshiza Writer’s” Award 2005 and many more other awards.
