In Islamabad, TCI partners share how door-to-door outreach is breaking down resistance to family planning. They reveal how mobilizers are shifting long-held mindsets, and why engaging mothers-in-law as health champions is key to improving the well-being of entire families.

Jahangir Ahmed, a father from Rawalpindi, embraced family planning after guidance from Masood Jillani, a male mobilizer raising awareness door-to-door. Recognizing the importance of male involvement, Rawalpindi now offers male-only counters for family planning, with plans to expand across Punjab.

In Gabol Goth, TCI and partners transformed a facility that lacked family planning services through training, counselling, and demand-generation efforts. Today, it serves as a model, providing integrated healthcare and accessible family planning for the community.

In Lahore, TCI partners share how they are implementing high-impact practices and interventions (HIPs & HIIs), such as postpartum family planning, family health days, and satellite camps. The experiences of women who have directly benefited from these services highlight their life-changing impact, while local officials confirm these successes reflect a growing trend across the region.

Pakistan partners with The Challenge Initiative (TCI) to strengthen reproductive health and sustainable development. Selected districts train local Master Coaches, embed high-impact family planning practices into government systems, and ensure lasting, routine improvements even after TCI support ends.

In Korangi District, TCI helped local officials address family planning challenges by improving data accuracy and ensuring consistent commodity availability. Targeted training and capacity-building empowered staff, leading to stronger health systems and better service delivery across all eight districts.

In just a few years, Lahore has become a high-performing city in family planning, overcoming mindset and governance challenges. TCI’s advocacy revitalized district coordination and data use, fostering efficiency, self-reliance, and early institutionalization of family planning initiatives.

Saba, a young mother in Lahore’s urban slums, overcame financial, cultural, and family barriers with guidance from TCI-trained health workers and religious leaders. She accessed a family planning camp and chose an IUCD, gaining control over her reproductive health. TCI’s holistic approach empowers women like Saba to make informed choices for their health and families.

In Gujranwala, TCI’s capacity-building trains Community Health Workers to tackle population challenges using high-impact interventions. Collaborating with government partners, TCI empowers health workers to mobilize communities, shift attitudes toward family planning, and ensure sustainable population management in line with FP2030 commitments.
