Community Health Officer-CHO

JOB SPECIFICATION:

•Graduate degree

•Prior experience in community related work will be preferred especially TB project

•Good knowledge of regional languages and local territories and must have own conveyance

•Good communication skills

•Soft and friendly behavior

•Personal motorcycle is mandatory

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

•Conduct field visits to map, verify, and support selection of private healthcare providers, specialists, informal providers, and labs for universal TB coverage

•Liaise with HIV-trained paramedics, X-ray and X-pert technicians to strengthen diagnostic and referral services

•Engage and maintain active participation of private providers (including pharmacies) for TB case identification, registration, and referrals

•Organize and implement project activities such as chest camps, community meetings, and quarterly review meetings as per targets

•Ensure real-time DHIS2 data entry, validation, and maintenance of updated reporting and recording (R&R) tools

•Support patient management including contact screening, follow-up of LTFU cases, counseling, treatment adherence, and TB preventive therapy

•Coordinate logistics and program support including drug/supply delivery, lab coordination, IEC material display, MDR follow-up, and addressing provider concerns

•Any other task assigned by the supervisor
