TB Screener

JOB SPECIFICATION:

•FA/F.Sc, Preferably Graduation

•Preferably Prior experience of community related work / TB Project

•Good knowledge of regional languages and local territories

•Good communication skills

•Soft and friendly behavior

•Personal motorcycle with a valid driving license is required

•Ensure compliance of the National guidelines and operational guidelines/SOPs for project implementation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Screen all beneficiaries visiting different OPDs using the TB screening tool, identify presumptive TB cases, and ensure timely referral to the designated doctor for further evaluation

•Conduct regular follow-up of presumptive and registered TB patients through phone calls to ensure symptom monitoring, treatment adherence, and linkage to care until recovery or TB case registration

•Coordinate with HIV-trained paramedics, X-ray/X-pert technicians, counselors, riders, and PMDT sites for timely diagnostics, reporting, contact screening, and management of Rifampicin Resistant (RR) TB cases

•Ensure real-time DHIS2 data entry, validation, reporting accuracy, and maintenance of updated records, registers, and R&R tools in compliance with National TB Control Program and project operational guidelines

•Maintain strong liaison with private healthcare providers, specialists, AFB labs, pharmacies, and district teams to support TB case notification, registration, uninterrupted supply of ATT drugs, lab materials, IEC materials, and timely reporting of supply shortages

•Counsel TB patients and their families regarding treatment adherence, infection prevention, contact screening, and TB preventive therapy while responding promptly to providers’ and patients’ concerns

•Follow up on lost-to-follow-up and not-evaluated TB patients for re-linkage to treatment, participate in inception and quarterly review meetings, and perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor

•Any other task assigned by the supervisor
