Abdul Ghaffar Khan completed Diploma in Population and Development from University of Botswana Post and also completed Master of Arts in Development studies from ISS- Hague, The Netherlands.
His practice focuses on population and national growth issues. He is currently serving as a Lead Technical Support Unit of Federal Task Force on Population and Family Planning to lower the growth rate to 1.55 by 2024 and an advisor to UNFPA. Prior to that, he had worked as Director General Population Program, M/O National Health Services Regulation & Coordination Islamabad to coordinate with Provincial Governments for National Population Policy Implementation, Director Operation for all subsidiaries of PTDC and acted as Finance Director (FD) as well, to finalize the budget of the Corporation and ensure its judicious and effective utilization. Abdul Ghaffar also acted as joint Secretary (Sports), M/O Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), Islamabad.
