Description

JOB SPECIFICATION:


•Master’s degree in Public Health/Social Sciences, Management, or a relevant discipline

•3 to 5 Years experience with National/International development organizations, Preferably in Health Sector

•The position will be district-based, and preference will be given to candidates who are permanent residents of and currently based in the respective district. The selected candidate will be required to reside and work in the assigned district throughout the contract period

•The role requires extensive field engagement, with approximately 90% travel within the assigned district

•Strong Computer skills with proficiency in MS office application


KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:


  1. Ensure effective day-to-day implementation of the Project in the assigned district, including execution of the approved work plan and achievement of district targets and deliverables.
  2. Develop and maintain district activity plans, monitor implementation against timelines and targets, and identify and resolve or escalate operational bottlenecks.
  3. Manage coordination with project healthcare service providers, including selection, regular engagement, monitoring of performance, follow-up on service delivery, documentation and resolution of operational issues.
  4. Ensure identification, verification and documentation of service providers and project clinic sites in accordance with approved criteria and project requirements.
  5. Monitor clinic establishment/construction against approved BoQs, maps, quality standards and timelines, and ensure follow-up on identified gaps.
  6. Lead and oversee community mobilization activities through Sitara Bajis in selected communities, ensuring planned outreach, community engagement, referrals and achievement of assigned targets.
  7. Conduct regular field monitoring and supportive supervision of Sitara Bajis, review their performance and ensure timely submission of activity reports and work plans.
  8. Coordinate and support the planning and implementation of trainings, meetings, community activities and project events, ensuring required logistics and documentation.
  9. Maintain effective coordination with relevant district-level government stakeholders, participate in DTC, DCC and other coordination forums, and represent the project as required.
  10. Conduct regular coordination meetings with Sitara Bajis and other project teams, track action points and ensure timely follow-up.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project data, trackers and documentation at district and service-provider levels, in both electronic and physical formats.
  12. Prepare and submit timely progress updates, monthly analyses, narrative reports and presentations, highlighting achievements, gaps, challenges and required actions.
  13. Ensure timely submission and review of Sitara Baji work plans, timesheets, activity reports and other required documentation.
  14. Ensure timely availability of medicines, commodities and other required supplies for project clinics/service providers and follow up on supply gaps.
  15. Document and share implementation challenges, lessons learned and good practices with the Provincial Lead and ensure agreed corrective actions are followed through.
  16. Ensure timely submission and proper record keeping of district administrative documents and personal/office expenses in accordance with organizational requirements.
  17. Perform any other project-related responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
